On the sp 500 with alot of hours the exhaust cam lobe gets ground off causing the exhaust valves not to open enough. If you rev it up it will puke black smoke and act like it is running rich. pull the valve cover and inspect the cam lobe I'll bet you see it ground off.

Butte meadows. Unload at the Bambi Inn and head up the skyway towards Philbrook Lake and into the high lakes. Thats the easiest way to get there. I go a few differant ways but there hard to find if you've never been there. Trails, The toughest is Morris lake funnest but still thecnical, Bear Lake Fr...

Ken I'm going to try and make it some time during the weekend. I got drawn for a elk for the first time in 13 years. I'm leaving on wednesday and hopefully be home on friday so I'll try to be there sometime saturday.

1st gen had a problem but they fixed it a long time ago. There many aftermarket filters that fix the problems.

They use Cloud SEEDERS all over northern california. Cal water, Pge, Municipale water districts use them to maximize precip from every rain cloud. they are mostly land based on peaks and such. The red stuff is from iodide that is realesed into the air during storms.

I could be wrong i have been before. But the red stuff in the snow is iodine from the cloud seaters. It's the same way around here.
