Mine has the metal cover already. I called the dealer and spoke with the service department manager and was told that the water pump cover would allow antifreeze to leak on the outside but not the inside. So he was saying it couldn't cause antifreeze to get into the oil. I have someone pressurizing ...

Aluminum water pump? Is that a straight replacement fix? How can I verify that is the problem before I replace it? Is there a way to make sure it isnt the head gasket?

Yeah, it is an 03 700. The oil wasn't milky, it actually looked rather dark until I swished it around. I didn't add much coolant at all. Just over the past two months when I have gone for the last 3 rides I noticed that the overflow was down below the low setting so I added maybe a half cup to bring...

Antifreeze in my engine oil.

I am almost afraid to ask. I drained the oil last night and while I was swishing it around in the drain pan, I noticed that it had some antifreeze in it. I have noticed that I have had to add a little coolant to the overflow to keep it at the right level over the past couple of months. OK, how bad i...

Ok, I bought new ITP rims, black powder coated and they worked great. No clearance issues at all. Thanks for the advice. Now I can't wait to go ride.

Luckily I have a few ins to help with the prices on some of these expensive extras. I got a great deal on the tires and I have a friend at a tire dealership that will mount them for free. If they rub, I suppose I could just spring for the spacers but how much would it be to buy new steel rims and wh...

Do I need Spacers with my new tires?

I just bought a set of Mudlight XTR's for my 03 SP 700. I am keeping the stock wheels and I am having doubts now if the new tires are going to rub on the tie rods. Factory tires were 25-8-12 on the front and 25-11-12 on the rear. The size I have in the mail to me is 26-9-12 and 26-12-12. Can anyone ...

My 700 PS is awesome

I helped a neighbor install a huge 7 person spa in his back yard the other day using a 4 place snomobile trailer hooked up to the back of my 700. It hardly noticed when the trailer was hooked up and didn't complain at all hauling it around to get the spa unloaded in the correct location. That traile...

That's cool, I have some friends at work that ride quads all the time, they took me on one of their rides and I was hooked. I have ridden 4 wheelers before but never in a group over terrain like we do now, it is a lot more fun. Thanks for the site, keep up the good work.

UPDATE...After putting it back together with the same joint, just clean and greased, it has stopped clicking for the most part. It will still click in reverse on pavement but that is about it.

It is a 2003 model. I will try the anti-seize on the splines. Hopefully that is all it will take. Any idea on the cost of a new CV if that is what needs replaced? Also, is it going to damage anything if I ride it like this for a while?

Clicking noise from gear box

I bought a Sportsman 700 Twin from an auction knowing that it ran good but couldn't actually test drive it. It had a ripped rear axle boot and looked pretty dirty inside but I bought it any way, it was a pretty good deal. When rode it to put it in my truck I noticed a clicking sound that sounded a l...

Hi everyone, great site.

I must say, looking at all the pics on your site makes me want to get out and ride. I am in Boise Idaho, there are a lot of good trails up here but haven't seen anything like the Rubicon yet, I am still looking. Keep posting pics, I love it.
