A few quick vids for those interested. Keep in mind that my boy and I haven't painted our truck bodies, so we just threw on some old stadium truck bodies I had from years ago. Lower center of gravity for the win :) First is a vid of my son Johnny mobbin up a rock wall at the top of our yard. It's ki...

I picked up one of the AX10 kits a while back and have been having a blast with it. I just bought the stock kit, as I like to mod and tweak my own stuff. My mods so far: "De-greened" all of the aluminum parts (they're just silver now) Cut foams Removed some lugs from the stock tires 1 strip of mag w...

I nominate the Modfather to be the official cook for the 3rd Annual Mr. Miyagi Memorial ride - Sept 12-14. HAHAHA! Quite the honor!!! It's funny you mention this, as we are planning a trip to Nevada this summer for a few days, and I have been "volunteered" to stay at camp and burn some meats :mrgre...

If you want to try my "easy" but kick ass ribs.... simmer them on a low boil with 1/2 beer and 1/2 water for 45 minutes. Then apply your favorite rub... broil 6 minutes on each side. Take them out and mop with your homemade BBQ concoction and broil 1 more minute on each side. They will melt in your...

Well here's my report, for better or worse. 1. The brisket - It was a pretty big chunk of meat. I let it smoke for about 14 hours. I wasn't real impressed with the rub (seems like it was lacking some flavor) but the meat was really tender and juicy. I threw some of the bbq sauce I made on it, and it...

Smokin?

I decided to try my luck at smoking a brisket. Supposedly one of the hardest cuts of meat to smoke correctly. Not gettin my hopes up, so I have "other" meat to go with it! I started this morning at 5:30 - so as of this post, it's been on there for about 9 hours. I seasoned it last nite and refrigera...

$100 to blow - which JetBoil to get from Cabelas?

They don't seem to have a very extensive collection over there - wondering what you guys would get if (for example) you had a $100 gift certificate.

Would you get a knock-off?

Just lookin for thoughts/suggestions here.

As usual, thanks a ton in advance.
