I have an '02 Dmax crew cab 4WD and I have a 4" exhaust, ARE air intake (don't waste your money) and a Diablo Predator. On the way back from SD we were at the 65hp setting. I am going to try it at the 40hp setting and see if I can do better. I recently pruchased but haven't installed a John Kennedy ...

Larry is funny, must have been talking to that bald guy that calls himself a forum admin. Yep, picked up the 26 foot tow behind WW a couple weeks ago and got 10 all the way home - over the Grapevine, thru the valley, didn't matter - 10 MPG. I was really hoping for about 12, but I have to think...

Thanks for all the info!! Looks like I need to do some more homework now. I like your suggestion of the Ross camp, we really want to just plant the trailer nad ride out from there if at all possible.

I'll report back when we return!!

Thanks again!

This is THE trail we want to check out next week!! My main question(s) are these: Is there a place where we can camp/park a 26 foot toy hauler and stay the night? Close (i.e. legal riding) to the trail? And is the Tahoe side really closed?? I saw on the map that the OHV trail is, but it looks as tho...

I am VERY interested as well. We have been talking about it since we saw Ken's pics from this years trip. Right now, I'm working on possibly getting a toy hauler. If I don't buy, at the very least, we will rent one to get over there. It's good to start planning early, that way it's more likely we ca...

OMG Nick, you are only making it WORSE!!! Keep talking chit, because it WILL bite you in the arse - eventually. Notice I'm not sitting back saying "oh yeah, but the Polaris can do this, or that", nope, keeping my mouth shut because I know, the zamboodie gods are watching, and they'll throw down a bo...

Geez, Nick.... with friends like Kendo, who needs enemies.... Kendo is just waiting and hoping your quad gives you cra%!!! Had you been there, on the side of the road, listening to him giggle like a school girl, repeating over and over again, Polaris ad slogans, you too would be wishing for...

I must concede, I am quite disappointed with the carb on mine. While I did not have to get towed a SECOND time, we did spend 20 minutes dinking with the idle jet on the carb AGAIN, because I can't go anywhere close to full throttle without it "sticking" in the up position. I hope a new spring fixes ...

We just did it last weekend....that gets you to Excelsior...and a couple others with 'em on a GPS. Oh I see, I post this up and you totally ignore me, then Keith responds and suddenly you "remember" riding up there last weekend. So, do you have any coordinates? I guess I can Google Earth the...

Trails with old mining stuff

My Pops in law is coming up next month and would love to go riding where we can check out some old mining equipment, maybe even a mine or two. Don't want to drive all the way to Tonopah, maybe something within 2 hours of Auburn/Sacramento. I have seen bits and pieces here and there on my Jeep trips,...
