Talked to a friend who is an NID ditch tender and he told me the small dam was to catch the spring water coming up in the valley. So it could be piped around the dam and outlet so they could be worked on a few yrs. back.

Went down to ride the Sweetwater Mtn with 4 dirt bike bud's on Sat the 23rd. It was a cool 19 deg. where we staged @ 8600 ft. And I don't think it ever got above 32 all day. Did a little ride up to Fordyce Lake and Buzzards Roost Sunday. A little snow left from Woodchuck Flat on up. Rd into Fordyce was Icy from all the jeeps. Three of us rode out of Cisco looking for snow and didn't find much. Rode into Mossy Pond and around the North side of Buzzard Roost. Only 3 or 4 inches on back side of Buzzard's. I cant fix a lot, but done that before. If you have a boot, i have a pickel (ie, tuning fork thing to get your bearing off your a-arm so you can pull the axle to replace. You might not even need that i think i just had to do it since i was replacing my a-arm as well. Im leaving soon for GV ill thro...
