Re: Miyagi Saturday 2014

Good pix John, thanks for covering the crawlin' part!

Happy to get the odometer pic - awhile ago I caught my truck at 200K, I wandered around a bit until it tipped the number because I thought I would forget it!

Miyagi Saturday 2014

Hopefully others have pictures too - this is familiar scenery for me so I didn't take a lot of pictures. It was a fun (but dusty) day of 84 miles. Cruisin' Barney

A short ride (46 miles) down Barney Cavanah Ridge, in last year's American Fire burn area. They are still logging like crazy. A nice day up there.

Treasure Mountain Road

Haven't been out this way for awhile. Now I remember why - Treasure Mountain Road, a.k.a. FR-05 - is pretty boring. There are easier accesses to a lot of the area. Still, I checked out many roads that end up above the 07 road (Fiberboard Road) for some different views and stopped by Lake of the Wood...

I think EigerMike was waiting on the date before he booked his 16 day Tahiti vacation so they wouldn't conflict.

Well, truth in advertising - he only said PLANNING to make history.... so this could go on longer than a Paynes Creek thread!

Tentatively planning on Fri-Sat for me. I don't know if I will be getting there at zero-dark-thirty though! :-)

Re: Rode Sardine Pk and Babbitt Pk today 7 Jul 13

Hey there RR! It's a huge area, lots of fun to ride. Bear Valley OHV has a campground - just go north from Little Truckee Summit.GrizzlyGuy and I did this area from LTS: http://www.atvobsession.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=4331 I don't know what the campground offers, but there is one at the Bear ...
