So at this point it is me and my brother, my KingQuad and a Prairie 700. I have a kick ass trailer that will hold 4 rides, but only 2 different 2x4 trucks to haul it. Worst case we go back to Yuba Gao, but I would rather go somewhere else. Who has a suggestion on 2x4 accessable snow riding areas?

Hey Ketih if you want pure snow you should be able to hit Iron Mtn with 2x4 this weekend as long as it doesn't snow much more between now and then. Sly Park Rd. was all ice to the turnoff so today was a def. no-go for 2x4 but when we left it was turning more into slush and running off... so hope for some warm weather / no snowKeith Strong wrote:So at this point it is me and my brother, my KingQuad and a Prairie 700. Actually even with 4x4 today was a no go unless you had a TINY trailer 4ft walls on the near 1 lane roads.. there's a LOT of fresh stuff up there By the sounds of it you have a 16ft or 18ft hauler and I would DEF. not want to be up there with that in this weathe (snowing again when we left too! LOL).
Sell your truck and get a 4x4

What about heading the backway up to the Rubicon through georgetown?Keith Strong wrote:Yeah, parking ia a concern too. My trailer is an 18x8 flat deck....not small by any account. The truck I have now is a tide me over. Paid $1500 for it and it works for trips to the dump, etc. Normally I pull the quad with the Tahoe but Debbe is goin out of town in it
Just pull off to the side of the road when it gets snowy? Or do they not let greenstickered rigs on that "snow" and require highway reg alll year round?

Walls on that are higher now - as of yesterday, it stopped snowing later after noon.
I finally got caught up on clean-up.
SO.. If a couple of you guys have pickups and want to come up - feel free. I can find places for around 3 pickups. and can make a space for one with trailer. The Fire station has a few spots for trucks as well.. Not exactly fire season

Well here is where I stand. There are now 3 of us and one has a 4x4 half ton dodge we are gonna tow with. Are you planning to ride this Sunday D2? We are discussing either iron mountain or georgetown towards uncle toms. If there is decent parking up there I would rather go that way.

You can park by the fire dept.
Riding on pavement this time of year is not a real concern. Plow stops about 1 mile from the house. Right past Blodgett research forest..
