OTD in Auburn Closing- Jeff keeping service and Parts open

Postby Ken » Fri Aug 20, 2010 3:21 pm

If you haven't heard, OTD in Auburn (and all over the state) went bankrupt and is closing. This is really tough for a town like Auburn, because OTD bought out Jeff at Polaris and the Kawasaki/Honda dealer to consolidate them.

Well...I went by and saw Rachael (Parts Queen) and Jeff...and it appears that Jeff has worked out a deal with the landlord to lease only a portion of the building, and keep the Parts and Service open.....which is FANTASTIC! Jeff is a great guy, as former owner of the Polaris dealer and currently managing the service department....he knows his stuff. Support Jeff as he tries to keep this going....someday you'll need work done, and it would be nice not to have to drive to Sacramento or Reno to get the work done.

Also...Bill at Adrenaline is still there..selling Poo poo's......keep supporting local vendors!!

That sucks, I've had a totally good experience with them. I'm still under warranty on my Grizzly, so I guess it's Roseville for me - I imagine they are not holding on to Yamaha....

I'm not sure how that would work....you'd have to ask....but they may not be able to do Warranty work, since they wouldn't be a "dealer"...just service.

Well, I have one in and one out of warranty so they are still an option. Hope it works out for him there.

Nope. OTD was closing 8/31. Haven't been there to talk to Jeff.

Latest update from Scott.

Jeff is staying at the current location for 1 month, with Parts and Service. Then he's moving everything over to the old Harley dealership....Rachael, the PARTS QUEEN is taking a month and then coming too!! Yeah!

Jeff is re-applying to Polaris for a dealership...and the name will be reverting back to Auburn Powersports. Congrats to Jeff to taking this on!!

Time for you peeps to SUPPORT!

Thanks for posting this, I just went to OTD and was able to pick up a Warn 25 for $250.00 and a Mossy Oak Ogio ATV gear bag for $88.00 what a steal.
