new toy need a place to camp

Postby Rubicon_Rider » Sat Jul 09, 2011 9:24 am

I just picked up a new 26ft Attitude toy hauler and want to take it on it's maiden voyage next weekend. Would like to take it to a place where my family can walk to a lake and quad friendly. I am taking the whole family and my 6 year old daughter doesn't ride yet so my wife will have to entertain while some of us explore the trails. We live in West Sacramento and don't want to travel too far. I am considering Stampede but is farther than I want to go on our first trip. My truck is 13 years old.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wow. Quite a few parameters there... :)

No lake...But Cisco Grove Campgrounds would be about the closest that I can think of, with Quad riding. Stampede you can NOT ride from the Campground. You would have to park at the Boca Springs campground to do that. But there's no lake there.

1000 Trails at Yuba Gap....but you have to be a member there..I believe. Not sure if non-members can camp there.

I have been to Cisco it is great place to ride, we will have a few young children with us and they may get bored hanging around a campsite. Bear River Resort looks like a place to visit, it look like they welcome quad riders since they have a picture of a group of riders (the first guy on the blue quad looks he could be Robin Williams).
I think we will go to Airport Flats Camp Ground, it has Gerle Creek running through it with plenty of swimming holes.

Thanks for the feedback, I look forward to visiting many area's with my new toy hauler and getting my hole family into exploring around on ATV's.
