Never been on them....
That's the area southeast out of Georgetown.....there's lots...at least according to the map.

I know there are a few staging areas for OHV trails just down the road from the house - bald mountain, drew barner and rock creek all with in 4-5 miles from my front door - just wondering if anyone has actually been on any of them.
Went down to mosquito road this last weekend and my wife got her 400 stuck (high center) took a bit to get her back out - just waiting for the snow to melt a bit more.
Might attempt a trip to uncle toms laster this week with Camo from pirate 4x.
I have taken the trail from drew barner as far as I could from breedlove in my truck. some area I could not get to just due to vehicle size and dying to try with the Cat.

Just to reinforce what Tom said, the El Dorado has already got areas closed so do yourself a favor and get their inventory map. If you stop in at any of their offices you can request one for free. It's actually a pretty big map with everything North of US 50 on one side and the South parts on the other.

Maps
I already have a map they gave me with my cutting permits. I'm sure they have updated with the new road closures for motorized vehicles with the law suit.
I know all of the OHV trails are closed right now due to breeding grounds for the winter.
There are some pretty good roads around the area I am going to start exploring in the next few weeks. There are a ton of FS roads around the house and just above stump meadows.
Was hoping for some Wentworth to be clear soon but got another 6 inches of snow this morning at the house.

Holy shit...

Kind of makes Safety Dave's ticket look like nothing.Ken wrote: A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both. 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571, and 3581.
And after talking to the lady at the office in Camino I got the impression they won't issue warnings and don't care if you "didn't know". She was very nice about it, almost motherly and wanted to keep us out of trouble.

Anyone know how many trails were closed?? Any provision for opening any new trails?
2200 miles is a lot...no doubt....but just curious.
