Rear Shocks/Springs & Front Struts/Springs from '08 Popo

Postby Wildhorse800 » Sat May 22, 2010 8:57 pm

I bought the full set to try on our 99, but the springs for the front are just too stiff and the strut has another 1" travel. It did jack the front up pretty good. It could work if you add a 1" lift in the rear, but not what i am looking for. I can get the exact part #s if you need.

So, if anyone is interested in buying a full set in great condition, I am only asking what i got in them. $60.00 + shipping for all 4.

I'm interested. Are we talking just the spring all the way around? Stock or aftermarket?

No, this is for 2 struts,2 shocks and 4 springs. All stock.

I am gonna have to ask you to give me a few days to see if there is a way to get a custom spacer built to allow me to use the newer struts with the older springs. I really don't have the $$$ yet for brand new struts and springs as I just started back to work. I guess I posted a little quick after being disgusted for all the disassembly needed and then not working!

Ken, if you are planning on using them on your '04, you will run into the same problem as I am having. The lift is just too much, the front wheels sit crooked as all hell, and the CV boot rubs the bottom housing which will require some grinding.

The 2004 still uses the short travel struts up front. These springs and struts are long travel.

I actually just wanted them for spare for my wife's '08 500.

OK, just let me know if you do decide to sell them, I am interested.

I made spacers for my '04 when I put the HD springs up front and the adjusters. I needed to bump the strut up about an inch. Made them out of some delron I had lying around the shop.
