Built in 1909, it's survived a lot of winters!

One of the few you can drive to... :-)

I started up the switchback trail but just didn't want to do it alone. Looks
cool though! I was also amused when I was at the lookout to see that
when I came up along the pole line from below last year to the goat
trail - it's only 100 yards or so below!

Yeah..it's close...but the last 100 yards is a bungy pucker.

nice pictures, like that view from below looking at the lookout and the sierras are an awsome view from the lookout.

heard about that sp lookout at the california railroad museum a couple of years ago been wanting to go there ever since, I see great views and history too.

Red Mountain from Signal Peak. Giant Gap (near Alta) is almost in line with Red Mountain). I-80 can be seen the west to about the Blue Canyon exit.
