Wow Hellcat, that would be great if it isn't too much of a hassle! My arrow is pointing at the spot where the dirt road takes off from the cul de sac:

I'm amazed how close Moonrocks is to your Chilcoot ride. All there is to cross is the RR and the highway :-)

As for your sliding - I know the 700 is a whole lot lighter on the front end than my 660. I have to remember to load the front with some weight or it wants to wheelie on some climbs or rocks going uphill. I wonder if you just aren't getting good braking traction on the front (assuming you are in 4-low) for loose stuff. After going up the sporty trail to English Mountain, I was sweatin in 4-low coming down that thing on the stretches of loose shale-y stuff.
That picture was at the end of Toiyabe 003. So if you go north from TOI003 up to my DETOI003 (Dead End, Toiyabe 003) waypoint that's the spot. I only had about 1/2 mile to go to connect in to the roads that would have taken me to Hwy 70. :(

Moonrocks to Chilcoot and back south down the RR tracks. Hmmmmm....

I'll have to get my brakes checked, but I think all 4 wheels are locking up. I was in 4WD also. I had my full Kolpin on the front rack so it wasn't all that light. I know what you mean on the English Mountain trail, although I think I made it down it without sliding.

Well Eric, that hill was fun, however the one I rode up outside Cabelas was much more......uhm....thrilling??!! It was steeper and when I got about 3 quad lengths from the top, the front popped up and I hopped off with the death grip on the brake. I proceeded to walk and throttle it up one more quad length (running over my foot 3 times) until I was stable and could get back on to finish. All in front of an audience of 5 at the bottom of the hill including my wife. Once we all got back together (they decided not to follow my lead on that one) the looks on their faces was classic, as I'm sure the look on mine was. Would have been a very long and painful tumble back down.

I really dig that area up there outside Peavine, still a ton of places to explore and ride that we have barely touched upon.

Crap Kendo, you guys are INSANE with your hill climbs! Ken showed me the one that he and Jack went up out by Moon Rocks and there is no way I would try that in a million years. If you want to give me the coordinates of your Cabelas trail I'll put that one on my never-ride list as well.

Given that this isn't Utah, I can hardly wait to see how many gas cans GG is going to load up with to get to Oregon!

Holy cow Deano, that would be fantastic! If you want to E-mail it to me, my address is: GrizzlyGuy at AdventureWorld dot TV.

I've been sitting here trying to work it out myself, including possible gas stops. I was thinking that Doyle, Herlong, Hat Creek, Fort Bidwell and Adel might work, but hadn't considered Gerlach. I'm shooting for Bend, OR where RedGrizz lives. :)

I will dig up the tracks I have for a route from Denio to Lake View, OR and beyond. I have done the Reno to Denio route this year. Will put it together and email it to your in Garmin file. BTW, there is no services at Fort Bidwell. Have to get to Lakeview for services. Dean
