Wow, would not have guessed there would be that much snow. The closer this storm got, the more they upgraded it towards a winter storm. Looks like fun though - with the right gear, riding in that is kinda fun. Thanks for the pictures!

It was a great ride. Everyone got free gas after I did a barrel roll down a hill and broke my gas cap on my flat pack.

I was only going to be able to run around for half the day, and i admit my resolve cracked when i didnt see any stars at 5am when i was going over my quad. If i had the full day and could have done the full loop you guys wanted to do id had gone still but that bed seemed so much better if i only had half a day  .

Great pics though and you got the first fresh snow ride of the season,

I decided that proper rain gear would be GoreTex, all that bouncing around etc. would shred the cheap PVC rainsuits. I have cold weather gear, but not much waterproofing.

I actually like the rain - at several points yesterday I pondered whether I'd like to go up and ride up FR-19, I would love to see the winds and rain up there during a storm.

We (at 2260 feet) got a whopping 6.29 inches of rain out of that storm!

As soon as someone makes a Gore-Tex dress, I'll consider riding in the rain and snow. Until then I'm staying home by the fire and sipping hot toddies while I paint my nails.

Get some Klim gear. Thats what I have for sledding. After 4 seasons I sent it back in to be "repaired" and the sent back all new gear including gloves. The only thing I didn't get replaced were the boots.
