Well, it's kind of a ride...
A generous friend offered a stay at Tahoe's west shore this weekend (and we had a wedding to go to as well), so the ATV lost out to some water cruising (the stay included using their boat!)
This is only the second time I have ever been out on the water at Tahoe - what a different dimension!
Still an amazing amount of snow on the peaks.
Emerald Bay is amazing.
Eagle Falls is visible in the center. Highway 89 goes by above it.
Heading across the lake - what a view!
Across the lake at Cave Rock, where the highway also tunnels through.
If you've ever driven on the highway through the tunnels, you probably didn't notice there is an old road that went around the outside.
Just up the shore is Al Tarina, owned by Essam Khashoggi - huge, with it's own little harbor and breakwater. Oh yeah - it's for sale - $29 million, supposedly. More here.
The little "riverboats" are seen often.
You'd think after that Navy incident with the helicopters you might not see any of them around - but no.
We're staying near the eastern end of the Rubicon - tough choice to not bring the ATV with me, but the water called. However, there was this fine vehicle reminding me how close the trail was...
Back to land cruising next week...

Nice!
The last words spoken before a YouTube video is filmed: "Hold my beer, now watch this..."
