Generator - Killer Deal

Postby Ken » Wed Mar 19, 2008 10:31 pm

It's not a Honda...but for a back-up for home. Reviews are, it's quiet and has a knock off Honda engine.

http://www.partsamerica.com/productdeta ... dp0t769413

It's $299.

Use the Coupon Code: closeout

And you'll get $44 off

Go here

http://cskautoinc.rebatestatus.com/disp ... 0iLbBpjg8=

And you'll get a rebate for $150 (must be bought between 3/10 and 3/28)

So basically, it's a 4000W generator for $105!

I bought one, and chose the Pick up at Kragen's in Auburn for free. $18 in tax. I'll pay $123 total.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... &noImage=0

I picked mine up at Kragens on 49 yesterday. Got my rebate receipt...I'm ready to go.

It doesn't come with oil, BTW. You'll need 2 qts.

What does 68 dbs equate to. The wife cannot start my current backup generator and at this price seems like a screaming deal

I ordered one also. We can refer back to this thread so we can cannibalize parts when they start breaking down.

I picked mine up, the guy at Kragen said they carry a lot of the parts, and also said they have been pretty reliable, or at least they don't have many come back with problems. He said change the oil after 5 hours, never mentioned it didn't have any

They told me it didn't have any. It takes .6 QT (KENDO, RTFM)

Kendo and I went to Cabelas the day after I bought mine. They had a huge mountain of them on the floor. $399.

Fawk awph Ken, that was YOUR fault and you know it!!

Picked mine up yesterday with no problem whatsoever. Make sure you get the 'Rebate Authorization Recipt' when you pick it up, you have to have that to file with your rebate request.

I ran mine for about 15-20 minutes last night after draining the excess oil out of it and it is remarkably quiet. Well worth the $123.

I was planning on using the online rebate form, is there a difference between that and what they have at the store?
