I just wear a pair of waterproof hiking boots in the winter and usually just some slip on shoes in the summer.

I have some waterproff boots from cabella's. I think they were 50-60 bucks. They have been great so far.

Been using these for 5 years....greatest boots ever made. Not heavy either.

Hey Ken how does the leather hold up after pro-longed exposure to water/snow?

What do you treat them with?

I have some Georgia boots I've been using (Gore-Tex) and am wondering how long I can expect them to last in the snow/water.

They are still like new, after 5 years. Worth every cent....no joke.

I wear the Wesco Firestormer for wildland fires and hey are a great boot. . . they are pricey though, not sure I would wear them for ATVing. I wear y redwing Logger boots ATVing and they do great. water resistant, leather, logger lugs, 10 inch high so they protect the shin a little, and give the ankle good lateral strength. . .

Whatever boot you go with, this is just me now, I would get one that can last a life time, something that is good for all seasons, like a leather logger boot that allows more socks in the winter, and then summer riding just a think sock. . .
