Bill owes me $100

Postby Kendo » Sun May 13, 2007 8:47 pm

To hell with the nay sayers, my fuel gauge works!!!

Took me longer to get all the gawddamn plastic off than it did to install the sending unit.

Cost me $32 for one off eBay, about 3 hours of time and I have a functional fuel gauge.

I took some pics too, I'll work on getting those posted in the next couple of days.

I know, you all say the gauge isn't all that accurate, but it beats nothing when you're cruising around the middle of nowhere Nevada to at least clue you in that you should think about where you are and your proximaty to fuel.

So Bill, I take PayPal.

Didn't I say those NGK's were 50 each

Good job.
"Took me longer to get all the gawddamn plastic off than it did to install the sending unit. " You had to remove the pod and handle bars also right?

Nope, I removed the top half of the pod, twisted and turned, held my mouth right and got the front plastics off. They only come off one way, pull all the way to the drivers side of the handle bars, slip over and then back to get off the passenger side.

Man, the price of plugs has gone thru the roof, must be because they come into contact with gasoline huh??

Polaris knew they were going to do the fuel gauge in 2004...before the 04.5 model...clearly.
