New ad slogan for Polaris...

Postby NickD » Mon Jul 02, 2007 10:01 am

So, while riding this weekend, Kendo and I came up with a new slogan for Polaris.... let's see what you all think of it... by the way, this new slogan was developed after 'mild' vigorous testing of a Polairs product... here it goes...

" Polaris, The Way Out.... as long as you are riding with a friend who owns a Suzuki and one of you brings a tow strap!"

Catchy huh? It's all about truth in advertising!

I must concede, I am quite disappointed with the carb on mine.

While I did not have to get towed a SECOND time, we did spend 20 minutes dinking with the idle jet on the carb AGAIN, because I can't go anywhere close to full throttle without it "sticking" in the up position.

I hope a new spring fixes it, but it remains to be seen.........

I can't wait for the day the 'zuk fails, I just pray there is a camera nearby...........

Had you been there, on the side of the road, listening to him giggle like a school girl, repeating over and over again, Polaris ad slogans, you too would be wishing for the same thing!!

It's OK, I anticipate there will be a situation, one day, somewhere, that I will be able to return the "favor".

The only good that has come out of the new slogan campaign is that Kendo (and I to some extent) are very familiar with carb removal/repair and replacement on the Polaris 700. We can have that thing apart and fixed in no time flat and really, other than the carb what else could really be field repaired on these things? Stupid question... I'm am sure 'the way out' will rear it ugly head on our next adventure. :D ... and as long as the Zuki is there we will be fine. The only drawback is that Keith and I must ride with Kendo and Jeff so that each guy has a Zuki..... for 'the way out'.

OMG Nick, you are only making it WORSE!!!

Keep talking chit, because it WILL bite you in the arse - eventually. Notice I'm not sitting back saying "oh yeah, but the Polaris can do this, or that", nope, keeping my mouth shut because I know, the zamboodie gods are watching, and they'll throw down a bolt of zamboodie on you in a hot minute.

Those paper thin rims are bound to fail, and when they do, it'll be right in front of me, if I have anything to say about it!!
