Anyone using High Lifter Springs on their Polaris?

Postby Teleskier » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:55 pm

I have a 2007 Sportsman 500 with winch installed, rear fuel cell and gear bag. To top it off I weigh 270lbs.

I noticed I get quite a bit of front end dive when braking or hard corning and some rear end squat.

Have any of you replaced the stock progressive springs with the constant rate High Lifter HD springs? If so, was it all around, front only, rear only, what effects did it have, did you like it or not, any comments welcome.

I was thinking of putting the tm2 adjusters on the front as well but as stiff as the HL springs are I'm not sure I'm going to need them. Thoughts?

thanks in advance

What I did to mine is get 700 or 800 springs from polaris and this fixed any sag.
Less $ than the highlifters springs. You could even get them from ridgerunner.

So the 700 and 800 springs are a different spring rate and firmer?

yeah
you have a duel rate spring that is 55-90 lbs./in.
the 700/800 use a 75-111 lbs./in.
the part number for the 700/800 springs is
7042301-067 black in color
7042301-293 red in color
hope this helps
