Polaris's heavy duty springs

Postby ATV'er » Fri Dec 28, 2007 2:35 pm

I just installed the polaris brand heavy duty springs on my quad. It was really easy to do. I did not need to use a spring compressor to get the springs on or off. It raised the front end up back to stock looking and it got rid of the pitch in the tires from the springs sagging. You can tell the front end is a lot firmer but just messing around today at work it seemed to take bumps really well. It also did not get as much body roll. I will post pictures tomorrow and I plan to do some ridding this weekend to see how they feel. I got my from ebay but here is the link from pure polaris.

It leveled it back out. It still seems to get good travel. I image like most springs after a couple of months they will soften up a little.

Those preloaders would work on those springs too, no?

Did you measure the difference?

no I never measured the difference between the new and old springs but you can tell by looking at it. The preloaders would work with those spring far as i know.

Ken,
The TM2 preloaders will work with any spring that will fit the top of a polaris strut.

I dont think I would use pre-loaders with HD springs. Just one or the other, I installed "RubberDowns" front lift kit (1 1/2") the kit is a perfect fit and increased ground clearance, stiffened the stock springs while getting rid of the negative camber on the front wheels.

I am very happy with the new springs. I punished it yesterday at sugar pine and it took every bump with out bottoming out. I am sure you could run the tm-2 but you would have to have alot of weight on the front to compress the front down.

Polaris HD springs from PurePolaris.com

Postby sp455 » Wed Sep 03, 2008 10:19 am

I assume that the springs on PurePolaris.com are sold in a pair? $49 dollars is a good price for a pair.
