New Battery vent tube Questions

Postby Ken's700 » Tue Sep 16, 2008 8:54 pm

I just bought a new sealed battery (AGM Scorpion from batterysfuff.com) for my 2005 700 EFI Sportsman.
There used to be a vent tube connecting to something?
My new battery does not have the tube connector like the Yashua did.
What do I do with the old tube just hanging there?
Can I just plug it and zip tie it the the frame?

Please let me know
Thanks

As long as the new one is sealed - yes! That's only there for the non sealed style to vent off any sulphuric gases that build up in side. You could actually remove it entirely if you wanted to.

Sorry Ken...I'm going to throw you under a bus for a second.....but I had to laugh...

"I just bought a new "SEALED" battery", but nothing for the "VENT" tube to connect to.....
