Rear lower A-ARm bolt...

Postby ToddW » Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:00 pm

So... my rear left side (if on it) front lower a-arm bolt that holds the lower arm to the frame is MISSING. Noticed it, probably had ridden on it for 10 minutes.. luckily I was at my house and no plowing was needed ;) However, now I need a new bolt.

I believe it's fine thread but was wondering if anyone had the exact size and if it was fine thread so I could just order one up?? (All my stuff is in boxes still!)

I hope my shock isn't bent :(

Its 9/16". And use red lock-tite for extra holding. This is very common on the polaris. While your fixing that one do it to all of your A arms. And buy an extra bolt to keep with you just in case.

I thought it was a 7/16 X 2.75 coarse thread - as in 14 pitch.

Use a grade 8 to replace it, very common issue with these fat pigs.

This is the one on the frame end not the rim end.

Got my bolt and fluid :) Now if the rain would stop so I could repair.
