I have pulled the 3k down to a dead stop in the snow as well (Moonrocks) so everything that's being said here is right on the money.

BTW, the 4k models won't fit on the quad without some modification. They are physically bigger than the 3k and under models. They are made for the UTV crowd.

Haven't seen the 3500 that Scott mentioned, but that sounds like a good idea. I always believe in oversizing when it comes to winches. You might think they're rated for your junk, until it's stuck and suddenly weighs a helluva lot more than 800 lbs.

Just remember,. that 3500# also has a remote. And the price tag is only $50 more than the 2500#.

The 3500# also comes with the synthetic rope.

But what is a snatch block?

the winch rope sucks! i perfer the steal cable
my honda winch that i blew up becuase i am a jack ass
had the winch synthetic rope and it sucked

i Belive avragejoe and shootbtw. will agree with me
the only benifet is that it is soft and won't have barbs to cut your hand
whare gloves that is my new modo!

sens i blew up the winch the synthetic rope is now a tow cable and
is about all it is good for!
