CV BOOT Twisted

Postby ToddW » Sat Apr 04, 2009 4:36 pm

So after rolling today I examined everything and noticed one of my front CV boots is twisted up... probably from jamming a stick in there and spinning.

Anyway... should I replace it or just straighten it out? There is some grease showing.

Straighten it out and check for rips or cuts, if you don't find any damage you should be fine

Hmmm, checking your quad after a ride, I should put that on my "to do list", for that matter checking it at all should go on my list also.

I wonder how my oil is doing? :D

It could be from an inability to equalize pressure after changes in elevation. Mine did the same thing. I burped it and it's now fine.
