To Warranty or not to Warranty

Postby Wildhorse800 » Tue May 05, 2009 5:20 pm

Just wanted some input. Do you think the extended warranties are worth it? Even my dealer said that Polaris is horrible when it comes to covering warranted parts. I was wondering how true it is or if it is because they can make more money off me if they work on it outright instead of warranty work.

IMHO - nope. I do all my own work though.

If you have the option - and really think you need it - try to go thru a more generic warranty provider. Our dealer here doesn't use Polaris, because of what you said about the horrible coverage.

I don't trust anyone to touch my stuff and do all my work myself also. But I'm sure if that engine launches it will be quite pricey. I saved to buy this thing outright. I'd hate to do all this to avoid financing anything just to end up having to take out a loan to fix something expensive a month out of warranty.
