How are the 800s holding up?
Anyone know how the 800 EFI engines are holding up? I have talked to a few dealers who said that while they have had more than a few older 700s in, the 800s are doing great. I have heard of one that had a busted connecting rod, but that is about all.

I've been told I joke around too much.
So one day I tried being serious.
Everybody laughed!

I'm the wrong guy to ask...ROFL. However, all my damage EXCEPT the exhaust was self-inflicted.
I have 2 800's.....the 2005's have a problem with the exhaust pipe coming out of the motor and being 1 piece all the way to the muffler. No es bueno! It cracks. When you replace it, the part has been fixed by coming in 2 pieces. This was fixed in 2006.

Engine so far so good *knock on wood*... I have a CV I need to replace... among 50 million other cosmetic problems.!!! Front basket top is gone, front basket is cracked around the shock mounts, body tabs are missing, the rear rack mount is cracked @ the body. My under carriage is amazingly clean! Not many dents.

i had to rebuild mine once but it was my fault. put all oem parts back in and ride now with some since. still have all mods on it, now if i can stop breaking axles it would be great.
