I'll check them tonight. Stupid local Polaris dealer (in Livermore) isn't open on Mondays, as I was going to call and see what a set would cost. What is it with powersports dealers not being open on Mondays??? Sigh.

Good thing Scott, because I'm pretty sure that your old belt had a bit of wear:ATV'er wrote:I had mine realigned and it works perfect with no belt ware.
Not a good day for quad reliability, what with belts shredding, bolts flying out, etc.
We never did see Gold Lake but at least the winches and tools got a good workout.

Hey Rob,
Mike is the mechanic at Livermore Speed Sport and he is the best I have found. Has years of expirence and been to all the schools. The big improvement in the last year or so has been with the clutches. They grab the belt much more abruptly and reduce belt wear. Not sure what the set up was in 2005, but mine has the new design clutch. Think you can upgrade your clutch springs, and that should help. Sounds like you've got some slippage thats wearing out your belt over time.

Well they won't be getting any business from me. I just called to find out if they had any of those Kolpin fuel pack brackets in stock. The guy had no idea what I was even talking about, and ultimately said they don't carry anything from them. What the hell kind of ATV dealer of any size doesn't at least carry the fuel packs? Dang.
I'll keep dealing with Reno Cycles; at least they have a clue.

to keep this going, the pic of Scott's belt is the one I have on my 2007 800, the one I broke coggles off, they replaced it at 1200 miles when I had a broken motor mount, and I don't know if they put the wrong one on, and now I'm putting the same one on again. Should I get the one with thye big wider apart coggles. If this makes any sense.
Thanks.
Thanks.
