Where to find a deal on an 850 XP?

Postby RobG » Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:52 am

I'm starting to do some shopping around, and I'm trying to find a deal on an 850 XP.

I've called four dealers... two have given me prices, and neither really want to budge much off of MSRP. The best "deal" I've been quoted is $400 off, but the guy didn't mention that there's a $300 rebate on 2009's that he was including in that price... so wow, $100 off.

Given the economy, you'd think dealers would be a little more willing to dicker. I think $500 off (plus the rebate) would be very fair. I know there's about $1000-1200 markup in these things.

Anybody know of any other dealers I can try? So far, I've called dealers in Livermore, Lathrop, Burlinggame, and Reno. There's nobody left at the Reno dealership that I know (except Bill, and he's out of town).

Thanks.

OTD in Auburn sells the 850 "out the door" for $8700. Probably the best price you're going to find other than the internet - then you gotta hassle with shipping.

Right now my the local dealer is offering a $1000 off as part of a Polaris promotion deal. I will check the prices later today and post them.

No, I think that's another $800 or $900. You think you need that??

$8700 is pretty much list on an 850 XP. I want a Camo 850 XP with ESP, list is $10,099 for a 2010 model (which I also want). There's still a $300 rebate even on 2010s, so I'm hoping to find someplace to drop another $500 off of that (or more)... I'd like to be at about $9300 or so on one.

Once OTD opens, I'll give them a call...

Keep in mind Rob, these are OUT THE DOOR prices that OTD quotes, includes tax, license and everything.

Price on your camo with EPS is $9399 out the door.

You guys actually ended up costing me MORE money. I didn't buy just one ATV, I ended up with TWO! It looks like I'm also getting a leftover 2008 Outlaw 525 S!! :)

With luck I'll be picking up the 850 next Saturday and going riding immediately thereafter, probably up around Jackson Meadows. They're going to ship the Outlaw to their Burlingame store for me to get there, since it's a lot closer from San Jose. Once broken in, it'll only get used at the dunes.

What's the date(s)? I looked around but didn't see anything specific. I'd like to go if I can.
