Sportsman 800 belt question

Postby Stumppuller » Tue Apr 06, 2010 5:14 pm

Well here it is, I've blown my first belt, looks like 2 cogs broke off, so dealer warrantied it, well I pay first, said Polaris should send me the refund of the belt.
My question is, the belt that I had and now have has ribs (cogs) that are small and close together, he had another one that had big cogs that were farther apart, says they must of changed it in the years. Does anyone know, mine is a 2007, and if 05-06's have better belts, can I use one of those, he seemed to think better to stay with the one I had.

I now have 3600 miles on my machine.

Strange,

Rachel at OTD in Auburn, just submits the belt under warranty and hands me a new belt. I don't deal with any refunds.

But Ken, isn't that because you are a frequent flyer there? ;-)
