800 drive clutch on a 700

Postby Chadd » Mon Sep 19, 2005 10:48 pm

I put a 800 drive clutch on my 700 and It is awesome... this thing is a wheelie monster.. I think the major differance between the 800 and the 700 is the drive clutch and the belt.. The 800 still has some more Grunt but it made the 700 a real nice machine

It's about $500. New clutch, Belt, Seal and labor. Dpending on the condition of your clutch I might be able to do a exchange and save you some money.

I think the 06 700 have the upgraded clutch but I'm not sure. The 800 came with the clutch stock as a test to see how durable it would be. Polaris said if they had good luck with them they would put the clutch on more models

Hay Chadd,
Are you changing the primary only or are you changing the primary and secondary?
If the secondary did you look for a differents in the helix pitch?

I changed just the primary. There is a differant helix in the 800. I'm going to try the 800 helix this weekend I think the 700 can pull the 800 helix.
