How are the 800 EFI's holding up?

Postby Stumppuller » Wed Dec 21, 2005 4:37 pm

Just wondering a few on here have them, but have not heard much about them, what kind of miles are on them and are there any problems, and where are more pics and video's of them all. Last good pics I seen were of that trip back on July 16th.
Thanks

Merry Christmas boyssssss!

Mine seems to hold up in just about every position possible..... The last time was..... "On it's side".

and...

Just when I had it dialed in.... :)

Come on guys, can someone not give us a good review with some pics of there 800 EFI, heck even a 700 EFI would do, from what I see there are a few here who have them? And now that they've been out for a bit, would be nice to hear about some torture tests. : )

What exactly are trying to learn?

Are they reliable? Nobody has had any EFI issues. I made an earlier post from my friend who owns Grove Motorsports in Michigan. His Polaris dealership hasn't had any EFI related repair issues.

Are they powerful? I own the Carb 700...and the power difference from the carb 700 to the EFI 800 is NIGHT and DAY. Larry (Oldtrucks) will also confirm...the 800 EFI is bad ass on the powerside. It's not EVEN close the power difference from the Carb to the EFI. There's no lug, there's no hesitation. Power on...as thumb moves. It's a little unsettling, at first actually. If having an 800lb Quad pop a wheelie on you is not unsettling...well...then you're unique.

Are they good ATV's? Well....There's no real difference in mechanics from all the other Polaris ATV's. So if you like Polaris...then this isn't an issue.

I own both a carbed 700 and EFI 800..... All I can say is GasOn....

Great wheelies.... and you'll never see an 800# rig fly or glide though the air quite like this one. You can totally get some air...... Trust me.... :) Great power, smooth acceleration, without any lag.....

Otherwise, they're the same rig.... Actually, I think the 800 has a more comfortable and forgiving suspension....... (If that's possible). lol.....

Just stay away from big puddles with very deep ruts...... Oh, and one more thing...... Don't ride with Chadd, he's jinxed (lol).
