Mileage?

Postby BearCat » Sat Jan 28, 2006 7:06 am

For anyone running a 700 or 800 polaris, what kind of mileage, on average, are you getting? I'm not complaining here just curious. I haven't been on any longer trips yet that require taking extra fuel. But have a couple planned that will cover up to approx. 120miles over a weekend.

BC.

what kind of mileage
POOR.................I think less than 15mpg depending on conditions.... my carb Brute force 750 is about the same. I think the CVT trans has a lot to do with it, running at a higher rpm most of the time. ( Larry have you checked your suz 700 efi for mileage??)

It's hard for me to say, since I'm usually going so slow....

But I will say....If I'm heavy on the thumb....she sucks it down.

Now that I think about a ride this summer. I went 49 miles and I still had gas in the tank. The ride went from 2800 feet to 7,000 feet, and down another 1000 feet. So a lot of climbing.

Thats right, I forgot. If I remember, we still had some left..enough that we weren't concerned.

Ironically, I ran out...on that Rubicon trip in May...which is only 26 miles.
