Ok! Finally got all the parts together yesterday, and did the job last night. The 4-way trailer to vehicle connection idea worked like a champ! I now have a solid electrical connection to the T-BAP sensor again. Phew!

I bought one of those Cold Head solder irons...not impressed with it's heat output. It's operation depends on the solid connection of both sides of it's two sided tip, this made it a bit cumbersome, especially given the tiny spade connectors on the T-BAP sensor. Hopefully I'll never have to fiddle with that again!

BTW...Chadd, how much would it cost me to purchase an extended warranty on my 04.5 700 EFI Sportsman? This whole issue has really got me considering it.

I think it's to late to buy a warranty... They usually send you some stuff right before your factory warranty runs out.

Nope...that feature is as advertised...go figure!

And get this...not a drop of blood, not even a scratch! Doubt I'll be so lucky on the skidplate install tonight...

Figure that's the case...I'll bug the sales dude today when I pick-up the 500 after it's first service anyway...I think he learns shit everytime I ask him questions...seems he has to research every answer he gives me.

I should have typed something along the lines of when I call out a fact, or contradict his answer...then he researches it...
