Thanks. It seemed like it added an hour to the job, stopping constantly to take pictures. We took more than we put up, but realized a lot didn't help tell the story any better.

Thanks Tom.

I really do try to do stuff on this site....that I don't see on other sites. I actually started it initially, because I couldn't find any site with just pictures and videos....plus I got tired of trying to get photos and vids from each ride to everyone else.

Curious, do you track visitors and hits on the pictures and videos? I wonder how many come in but don't register or take part in the forum. Maybe our mean spirited banter keeps them away

Ok....Rode it today with Larry. AWESOME!

Granted...I cleaned the crap out of the Carb, so it's hard to tell what improved what....but there's no lugging....he has the WAAA power again. Definitely runs better.

I just ordered a DynaJet kit for my 500. From what I gather looking at the PDF on the DynaJet site, the installation for this model varies slightly from the procedure you followed, Ken (i.e., no plug to drill over the fuel mixture screw). I'll report back once I've gotten into the installation....

I don't know...but you'll know when you get there, and the screw is blocked. :)

Let me know...okay?

I completed my rejetting adventure last night. It's doubtful I ever could have muddled through it without your photos and instructions, as the directions that came with the DynoJet kit were just about non-existent. A few things on my machine and carb were different (to be expected, as it is a different model & year bike).

The mixture screw was indeed blocked. And, there was no drill bit and screw included with the kit, so I had to improvise. Like you, I set the needle and jet to 3k - 6k feet.

So far, I haven't noticed a huge improvement in performance. But, my carb wasn't nearly as dirty as yours was before you had occasion to clean it. I'm anxious to see how it works tomorrow at higher altitude when I take it up to the Morman Emigrant Trail area.
