POD on Polaris is going bad

Postby MrPolaris » Wed Mar 01, 2006 10:38 am

My Pod on my 800 EFI is looking weird. I took it out ofhte trailor hte other day during the snow storm and noticed that my Pod had some issues. On the botom and left side (Just the edges) it appears that there is what I would call some sort of LCD Bleed. Kind of like when you push on a calculator display it goes black, something like that.

How long is the rig covered under warranty? I hope that this is something that is covered. . . chadd, what do you think.

If you bought it from Chadd....prepare to get SCREWED! ;)

It will take months, to hand carry a POD to Colfax.

BTW...the POD is the brains of the ATV...I carry a spare.

SCREW ALL YOU GUYS....LOL

Your bike is out of warranty Dusty and they cost about $220. One thing I have noticed about the lcd is when it has been kept in a cold dark trailer as soon as it hits warmer temps or sunlight there is some distortion around the edges of the gauge. leave the bike parked in the sun and the gauge should return to normal.

Bastard warranty system. . . things always happens when the warranty expires. .. I will see about keeping it in the sun and see what happens.. . I should think about possibly getting a spare pod though in case something happens. . . will work on getting my battery working in the 600 first. . .
