Postby extreme atv rider » Tue Mar 07, 2006 3:51 pm

i've watched all the videos and seen almost all the pics so i guess yall don't play in much mud but when you do play in mud do you have any problems with sportsman over heating? i ask because all i play in is mud deep mostly and the polaris is the ony atv with the rad mounted real low.

the only snow we get here in southern maryland is gone an hour after it falls. if we're lucky it might stay for half day.

Bummer...snow is fun.

But my point is....if Snow can do it...I would imagine mud could too. I'm definitely going to be a little more conscious of snow blockage.....especially considering in the snow...you're GUNNED, the whole time.

Actually, turn the fan around and add heat.....lol.

When this happened to kens I took a look and it appeared that the snow had packed itself right against his radiator, where mine and Larrys had a protective screen set off the front of the radiator a little bit. this kept air flow around the radiator on ourws when pushing snow like this as opposed to kens whose did not have this.

One 12v Barbie jeep with Miyagi at the controls..I'm on it Trucks. LOL

As far as overheating I think the 04 and 05 sportsmans have the rad mounted higher and further behind the front brushgard, As "F-P-M" stated the rad is a "better" position than on the older Sportsmans. Not to say it isn't going to be free of any BS but now its not any worse than any other machine. If your looking to buy a newer machine dont let this sway your decision.
