I was trying to decide between these and Executioners. Bighorns will be on my ride soon! 8)

Helmets, we do not need no stinking helmets. . .

That is a cool site about the tires. . . I like to think of kens rule of thumb where 1 inch tire is about 1 hp loss or gain depending on the direction of the tire. . .

OK, enlighten me......1hp loss per inch taller tire? I'm looking at 25" Bighorns, but may look at 26" ones if that is true.

Who's rule is that? Not mine. Scrambled it up bubba.

Here's the rule....it's actually from NASCAR. I learned this when I was big into Online NASCAR racing.

For every pound(weight) that remove from a car, it's a 1X improvement on HP. So, lower the weight of the seat by a pound, and it will help 1X. Not much.

For every pound that you remove from a moving wheel part, it's a 5X improvement on HP. So....lower the weight of a rim by 1 pound, and it's 5X

For every pound that you remove from a moving engine part, is a 15X improvement in HP. This explains why racers spend MILLIONS in engine development.

In my area these tires make total sense, as our trails are usually connected by short stretches of paved road, and these tires I am told hold up extremely well to some pavement riding. Alot of riders buy vary aggressive mud type tires, only to watch them quickly become destroyed on the pavement. I like to throw on tires, and have them last a while before needing new ones. And, I like crawling through the woods anyway, not the typical mud bogging that goes on around here, so they suit my style very well. I will order 25's soon. 8)

You won't be sorry...they are absolutely incredible! Best tire I've ever ridden on!

From the looks of that avatar, it doesn't appear you're on your tires much. :)
