ITP Type 7 Beadlocks
Well I finally decided to take the plunge and buy beadlocks. Figured I could run the lower pressure if I wanted and did not have to worry as much.
Here they are instaled.
Up Close
Ok, I decided to do some playing around. I aired down to 1.5 - 2.0 lbs of pressure. Here are some random pictures.

The trail is called, my work.
The rims I got from OTD here in Auburn. With the 15% atvobsession discount they were $160.00 per wheel before taxes.

Not rain on anyone's..
Going with just the outside bead locks?
I have the first of SS 108's OMF'ed true bead locks with no troubles and I hear that you and Ken have blown inside's on stock or reg rims.
Where will be the big change with these?

I have never had much of a problem until recent with popping beads. When I had the 589's and the stock tires I would pop the bead off about once a year while doing snow rides. When I popped them off I was usally riding in ruts with the quad was at about a 45 angle and I would get snow between the rim and the tire. I would slowly get snow in the bead and it would start to leak.
More recently when I took off the 589's to install the bighorns I had some rubber on the rim so I had the bright idea of taking a wire wheel to the rim which ended up to be a big mistake. After that I could not get the tires to hold air even with super high pressures. I ended up putting slime in the tires to help hold air in them. After that I had flats all the time and was popping tires off.
I believe most of all my flats begun from getting some thing between the outter rim and tire. Once I lost the bead on the out side I then lost the inside. My real answer for popping tires off in the winter is to buy tracks next fall.
