Super Swamper TSL SX's are Bias ply. I own them on Willys....I bought 'em specifically because they were bias ply. They're also one of the most popular.

The Super Swamper TSL/SX was designed for extremely tough off road conditions where sidewall strength and protection is needed to withstand the sever scuffing from running in ruts and snagging roots and rocks. This tire has a strong nylon or polyester bias ply body with dual belts under the tread and wrap-a-round lugs.

Super Swamper IROK is also bias ply. They do make a radial....but the Irok Bias Ply...is the original, and still most popular.

MTR is a radial....

Pulled from a 4x4 review site. I'm not makin' this stuff up.
Radial tires are known for being less forgiving of trail abuse than bias ply tires. Radial designs have a sturdy, puncture-resistant tread area and a flexible carcass that can wrap around the terrain and increase traction. However, bias ply tires have a thicker sidewall that is more resistant to punctures and are more tolerant of twisting and bending forces than a radial tire’s sidewall. Bias ply tires can also have the tread extend onto the sidewall, a more common trend among newer tire designs because of the increased grip in ruts and rocks.

Just kiddin........ Nice tires.
I was just notified by the wifey...mine have arrived! I'll put them on this weekend and honestly, I just can't wait to try them out!!! I rode my brother-in-law's, 26", on his 700...loved them, but don't like the idea of the need to change my suspension right away. Mine will definately rub since his did...I've got more "squash" effect going on.

I'll post results, we do LOTS of trail, by our standards...not LOTS by many of the veterans here...

Not wasted on a grizz, though...lol...couldn't help it oldtrucks...

First ride/impression...AWESOME!!!

These tires increased the ride comfort greatly, and WOW, traction is also outstanding!

I'm getting to know mine. Huge difference in ride stability at speed, work well in the snow. As soon as I can I'll be putting to work on the rocks

I'm curious too. I'd really like to hear how they do over time.

All the rocks I've been on...I've only put 1 hole in 1 sidewall in my 589's and that was 2 years ago with 3 lbs of air. I now run 3.5-4 and haven't had any pinch holes.

Scott put a hole in my wife's 589's on the front....BUT...he was doing the Fordyce from Winch hill 3 to Eagle Lakes like he was going to a fire. Speed did that one.

Over 100 miles now. 66.6 miles this weekend, varying terrain w/out any problems and only extreme comfort, traction, and durability to report. After riding on these, I'll never run anything else on the trails. These tires are simply amazing!

I run 6 PSI all the way around, and the ride is perfect.

is that the recomended psi??? what is the advantage to the higher psi. It is my understanding that the radials have less side wall flex than a bias tire. I am running 4 psi in my xtr radials........... seems about right.
