i've seen both in person the tread depth are almost exactly same gbc are little softer verse big horn are stiff (knob flex) the gbc are cheaper. both guys i know in jersey like them they mostly ride in sand and woods some rock but nothing like you guys do. the gbc have alot of side wall flex at low press

Softer compound good for rocks....obviously, hard pack trail riding would wear 'em out faster.

Do you mean lots of flex BEFORE doing anything, or when it hits something?

Thanks for the comparison. This may be a little off topic, but have you ever thought of siping these or any other solid bar type treaded tire? I would think siping would be perfect for the rocks.

Hadn't thought about it. I know it works well with snow...never seen it on Jeep rock crawlers...and those guys will do just about anything....including putting 5 lbs of BB shot inside the tire.

Well, the GBC 25" size blows with only a 9" width for the rear. That's a deal breaker on the 25" class, in my opinion.

I also hear the GBC's run "short" in height. For example, the 26 inchers are 25.25 inches tall.

I agree Brad....the 25" sizing sucks. Not that I would get it...but for people that want stock height.

I actually thought first of taking a grooving tool and cutting notches in the long lateral bars. Siping would work great, I'll check into it. Locally I think Les Schwab is the only place I know that does it......but I have a pesonal boycott with them.

As far as size my 26's run just a little large, about 26 1/4"

at low pressure you can push your quad side to side and see the sidewalls flex. if you try to take a turn high speed low air pree you'll dig in the dirt with the rims

Great music, great camera work, and great thottle control. The funny thing is the way the guy is walking up the rock after the roll...I think he soiled himself
