Description: Green Day is Easy to Extreme. There are many bypasses around most obstacles. The sign for the trail is really at the end. Most people run the trail backwards. There are 2 routes up the hill backwards, one intermediate the other in a small wash that is harder.

Helldorado - Click for KMZ File

Description: Helldorado is Extreme. There are no bypasses. The trail starts of with a bang. In 2007, we filmed Mountains and Mud III and also Steve Jackson from Montana Jacks filmed us at the same time. In 2010, most of us revisted the trail and filmed it again. We found it a little different, mainly at BreakOver Rock. At the end is the famous Waterfall. You will be winching over it.

Description: Minor Threat is a very short trail, just like Helldorado. I wouldn't characterize it as "minor", as the "straight edge" obstacle is difficult.

Moab - Main Trails

The following are a list of some of the main trails that we have been on in 2007 and 2010. I will note in the description whether we have or have not been on the trail.

Trails:
7 Mile Rim (Easy)
Cliffhanger (Easy to Difficult)
Hell's Revenge (Easy to Extreme)
Kane Creek (Easy to Difficult)
Metal Masher (Easy to Extreme)
Moab Rim (Easy to Difficult)
Pritchett Canyon (Easy to Extreme)

7 Mile Rim - Click for KMZ File

Description: 7 Mile Rim is a relatively easy trail. It is very scenic, with several photo opportunities. Determination Towers is the most famous Kodak Photo Stop. On an ATV, the off camber stuff is easy, but in a full size rig you will dig your butt into the seat for sure. You can park at Dalton Wells Camp (Japanese Internment Camp) and ride to the trail along 191 and loop back.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2007.

Behind The Rocks - Click for KMZ File

Description: Behind The Rock is a very long, and difficult trail. We have never done the trail, so I can't tell you how difficult or bypasses, but it is is rated 4+ in many books (out of 5). You can connect with Pritchett Canyon and Kane Creek Rim trail...not the same as Kane Creek Canyon.

The KMZ does not contain our tracks.

Cliffhanger - Click for KMZ File

Description: Cliffhanger is a fun trail, with some hard spots (a couple with no bypass) and the view at the end is amazing. You'll also get a good look at the Potash Plant across the river. The "gatekeeper" at the beginning is a good indication of the difficult sections.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2007 and 2010.

Hell's Revenge - Click for KMZ File

Description: Hell's Revenge is AMAZING. It is one of the most beautiful and quintessential trails in Moab. It is overall, fairly easy but you have to stay on your toes, as one false turn on an "easy" section and you will die. The trail crosses several times the famouns Slick Rock Bike/Motorcycle trail. Overall, there aren't any mandatory difficult sections. However, for the daring you can attempt Hell's Gate, but be aware that one false move and you won't like it. Jack and I both went up Hell's Gate on our ATV's, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are REALLY sure of your ability and willing to lose your ATV.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2010.

Kane Creek Canyon - Click for KMZ File

Description: Kane Creek is a LONG trail, especially on ATV as you must return to the start (unless someone is picking you up). The trail starts at the same place for Pritchett Canyon and Cliffhanger. You go down Kane Creek Road until you reach a sign for Kane Creek. Turn left, and you're off for the next 13 miles or so. The trail is fairly easy, with a few obstacles. It contains many creek crossings until you get to the big canyon. This is where the road gets tough up a hill, or you can go low on an ATV trail only. The road exits on Highway 191 south of Area BFE.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2007 and 2010. In 2007, we had to turn back after Larry's pipe broke.

Metal Masher - Click for KMZ File

Description: Metal Masher. One of my favorites. It has 2 extreme obstacles, Rock Chucker and Widowmaker. However, both of them have bypasses, making this trail intermediate overall. It has a great view in the middle overlooking 191, and after you finish you're a short ride to Gemini Bridges.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2007 and 2010.

Moab Rim - Click for KMZ File

Description: Moab Rim on a quad or full-size, will scare the crap out of you in spots. There are few difficult obstacles with no bypasses. But the view at the end of the rim, is spectacular.

The KMZ contains our tracks from 2010.

Pritchett Canyon - Click for KMZ File

Description: Pritchett Canyon is as beautiful as it is evil. There are 2 extreme obstacles, Rocker Knocker and Rock Pile. There are several difficult sections besides those 2 extreme sections. This trail is a workout.

If you are REALLY ambitious, you can do Pritchett Canyon and ride over to Behind The Rocks and do that too. But I would estimate that is 40+ miles round trip. Definitely an ALL DAY thing.

This KMZ contains are partial tracks from 2007. We went up Rocker Knocker and turned around as we ran out of light.
